05 Jun BIOMATDB: Introducing the Biomaterial Marketplace & Biomaterial Database
As the main solutions of the BIOMATDB project, the Biomaterial Marketplace and Biomaterial Database have been successfully launched. The two platforms aim to provide central information sources for researchers, suppliers, and demanders of biomaterials, enhancing access to information about biomaterials and medical devices.
As the BIOMATDB project is nearing its end, the consortium proudly announces the successful launch of its main solutions: the Biomaterial Marketplace and Biomaterial Database.
Biomaterial Marketplace
The Biomaterial Marketplace is accessible via www.biomaterialmarketplace.com. It is a platform designed to connect suppliers of biomaterials and biomaterial-based medical devices with buyers, service providers, and funding opportunities. It serves as a comprehensive resource for showcasing products, services, and innovations in the biomaterials sector.
On the marketplace, suppliers of biomaterials and related medical devices can showcase their products, brochures and services to a broad audience, ensuring maximum reach. They are further able to connect with key players in the industry, fostering partnerships and collaborations. In addition to gaining visibility among key European actors, the Biomaterial Marketplace features a user-friendly interface, enabling a straightforward registration process for interested suppliers.

Biomaterial Database
The Biomaterial Database is accessible via www.biomaterialdatabase.com. It is a dedicated web platform offering advanced search and visualisation tools, to support and streamline access and analysis of biomaterial research data. The versatile design caters to diverse audiences and stakeholders interested in biomaterials research, advancing both biomaterials research and development. For researchers, it provides a specialised search engine to locate relevant biomaterials, research data and literature, efficiently. For students, it functions as an educational tool that enhances understanding of biomaterial properties and applications. Industry professionals and other stakeholders can use the Biomaterial Database as a tool to analyse trends in material-specific R&D, compare material properties’ related literature, identify authors, and spot gaps in biocompatibility assessment.

With the launch of these two solutions, the BIOMATDB project has reached a key milestone, paving the path towards facilitating biomaterial research and supply across Europe.
